Beautifully located in the quiet village of Letcombe Regis, this quaint, friendly, welcoming hotel is a must stay if you a re looking for a quiet get away or, like me, travelling for work. The staff are exceptional with their customer service, nothing is too much trouble, and for me it's the small details that matter, like being offered a thermos of free milk for your room. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and lovely and cosy, and the food is Michelin Star quality, there was nothing at all that could be improved. Thank you so much to everyone for making my stay so lovely, and especially the young lady who served my breakfast on the Thursday morning, doing work experience.

We selected The Greyhound Inn as an overnight stop whilst walking the Ridgeway. We were met by a warm welcome from the staff and shown our room. The room was spotless with incredibly comfy beds, good quality linen and an excellent shower over bath with lovely Bramley bath products. We booked dinner in the restaurant, which was also excellent. A varied menu with an excellent wine list. Although the pub was busy, the service was friendly and efficient. There was a good selection of breakfast items available at an additional cost and the pub was also able to provide a packed lunch for our onward journey.

What a fantastic place! characterful pub, lovely cozy, quiet, and well appointed bedrooms with home cooked biscuits and a great shower…. and… wow… amazing food, including the breakfast, which had the usual favourites as well as some exciting other choices. the home made jams were brilliant. The evening meal was exceptional, we love to eat in foodie places and this was a real delight and amongst the best of the best ever meals - we could have had every starter, the choice was so good and service was perfect from kind and attentive staff. Parking etc also good.

Beautiful location, building and friendly, welcoming and personable staff. would highly recommend. I stayed on the hottest day of the year (on record) I had the room in the Apex so was HOT!! The team went above and beyond in making it as comfortable as possible (fans etc) We missed the cut off for food and the young lady who was leaving offered to work longer and prepare us some food. We declined, but again, they went above and beyond! Really impressed with their service. We all know this costs nothing but not everyone delivers on this.

The room was clean and comfortable but I would not have described it as a "superior double". Dinner was fabulous - we only had a started and a dessert as we had been to a family picnic and weren't tremendously hungry - the ginger pudding was superb and the presentation lovely. Breakfast offered a fantastic selection of continental choices and a wonderful array of cooked options. The front of house staff at both dinner and breakfast were fantastic - nothing too much trouble.
